I think it looks fun. Not sure it I'll pay to see it in theaters, but this seems prime for a Netflix or Redbox flick.

unless it's an accident, I doubt very much I'll watch anymore of his films. They're just so bad.

Have you never heard of this director? Seriously, how the frick does this guy still keep getting paid money to make this shite? I consider it one of the greatest injustices of our lifetime.

So the man with no more ideas...watched Sybil one night ((which turned out to be a total fraud "true story") and said what if I use that premise and do Silence of the Lambs.

So much hate in this thread, but frick me I actually think that looks pretty interesting/good (and not just as a trailer, but as a movie).

I love how people act like because MNS hasn't made awesome movies lately that he is incapable of making a good movie.

I actually really like the premise for this film, even if it is MNS.

But I think the biggest thing that has me hopeful is McAvoy. Dude really is a great actor.

Signs, Unbreakable, and The Sixth Sense are just inarguably good movies for anyone not in a constant state of savoring snoutfuls of their own flatulence.

Signs

You could make a case for Unbreakable (a weak one, but still a case), but Signs is an objectively terrible movie. It's got a nonsensical plot, a confused and impractical message and of the worst dialogues ever shite onto paper. The only people who claim to like this are the ones who were still in denial about m night's horrible movies. You got phantom menaced but never let yourself realize it.

You mean like Mel Gibson, Walberg or Phoenix? The night man still managed to get shite performances out of all of them. He's a talent vacuum.

He made ONE good movie!! Every time someone brings this guy up I'm amazed that there are people who defend him. He's wasted millions of dollars that could have produced actual art and he's wasted hours of my life suffering through his artsy-wanna-be bullshite.

it's probably along the lines of the girls he kidnapped aren't real and are other personalities in his head

While I agree with you, not so much on Marky Mark (though I do like him a lot), this just seems like the sort of film where his performance will make or break the film. And with McAvoy, I'd feel pretty confident.

Unless the likely scenario happnes. M. Night pulls a Shamalamadingdong, and gets way too "creative" for his own good.
