What has impressed me more about Viggo was some of the behind the scenes extra from LOTR.
That guy is just an awesome man, bought some of the horses to give to cast members. He was retiring, but something brought him back.
His later career roles, working with Cronenberg, and after have been more of what he wants at this point in career. More critical success than box office success.
The Road - The Man
A Dangerous Method - Sigmund Freud
On the Road - William S Burroughs
And his latest - Captain Fantastic had lots of critical praise.
I have always felt that Tim Roth hasn't found his niche yet.

Pacino is a habitual over actor, not quite as bad as Cage, but he still gets pretty ridiculous. At some point he seems to have decided that if he yells a lot then people will think that it's good emoting.
It has all been down hill since The Godfather Parts 1 and 2. But I guess that a pretty big height to slide down.

I remember Pacino addressing why his acting style has changed over the years. He said something to the effect of "I was a stage actor who didn't know how to act in movies. So I was very tough on myself and putting everything into those roles even staying in character while off-screen. I couldn't act like that any more. Now, I'm much more relaxed. I often watch CNN in my trailer in between takes and try not to be so stressed out all the time."

De Niro is one of the all the time greats by any measure.

Deniro has had sucha great career. The Godfather II, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Casino. Even later, he was good in Silver Linings Playbook.

He was brilliant with Tarantino. One of my favorites in Four Rooms, but yeah, that was the 90s... he was a favorite of mine

Ben Foster was the only good thing about X-Men 3 and stole the show in 3:10 to Yuma. I haven't seen Hell or High Water yet but its gotten good reviews. Good actor but it seems like he's mostly done lame movies.

He started out well, then came over the top Pacino, and he never let go of it. Not sure when it started because I'm not really a fan.
