quote:This is my take. In the preview it showed the governor with his men behind him guns drawn but the area was filled with smoke as if from another smoke bomb.
So I don't know how they're gonna extend that, unless Rick and Co. immediately go back to Woodbury to save Darryl

it also showed darryl... closing the gate.
and when glen comes at rick with his gun drawn saying "what is he doing here?"... it's because they have meryle too.

I love how the show is portraying The Governor and just set the wheels in motion for his descent into sadistic madness

yeah they hinted at this in Talking Dead last night. Now he will be much more dark.

The whole scene with Michonne/Gov/Gov's kid was weird. He went from in control to a sobbing idiot in a matter of seconds. I realize that he still thinks his daughter was still in the walker somewhere, but he's smart enough to know what's up at least partly. And then he gets stabbed in the eye and is still sitting there sobbing about his zombified kid. I dunno, it was just weird.
I think it made perfect sense. That was his little girl. The Governor obviously lost a small but important part of his mind when Penny originally died and turned. I'm not saying that would happen to me if my little girl turned but I could understand it happening to a parent.
Penny being "alive" held him together. That became pretty obvious once Michonne took her out.
Reading Rise of the Governor would give you some additional insight into his character and motivations.

How does Ricks group have smoke bombs? Where in the hell would they run across anything like that? Those are used specifically for army tactics. It would be one thing if it were tear gas they found at the prison, but people weren't getting choked out from it, so it must've been smoke, not gas. No big deal, it's still my favorite show.
I liked the idea the guy earlier has about Merle being thrown under the bus by the gov is a ploy to get Merle inside the prison and frick shite up inside.
Also, I'm pissed that Michonne didn't drain out the governors neck, and at least talk to Andrea during their stare sesh and tell Andrea to "Wake the frick up and look around you. These bitches are crazy lets get the frick out of here!"

I think they accumulated weapons during the offseason. Probably found a cache at the prison too.

The prison had smoke bombs. It was mentioned right after they got there.

Speaking of the lazy bite....how did that woman survive that long screaming like she did? She'd have to be a marathon runner to stay alive.

If Merle is on Team Prison it won't be for long, just enough time to create a schism between Daryl and Glenn. Having said that, the Dixon brothers are way too popular-so maybe Merle goes through a redemption period. I doubt it, but maybe. I also believe that the Woodbury/Prison arc is not over by the end of season 3, entirely too much fertile ground for storytelling to wrap in eight episodes.
Thoughts:
-Rick is awesome, I hope they find a way to kill Shane several times throughout the show's run
-the preview shows Glenn saying "we can end this tonight" to Maggie, double-suicide?
-If Andrea gets knocked up by Gov.Crazy, does she stick around Woodbury?
Finally, on The Talking Dead they mentioned how Kirkman wrote the episode and he comments how it really is like writing a story he has written before, but now with the Dixon brothers. Initially I thought both were going to die this year, however it seems to me that these two are the favorites of the writers room and we could see both survive until near the end of the show.

The EP of Lost was on the Talking Dead tonight...they're foreshadowing a shitty series finale.
Rick wakes up in a hospital, everyone is there. Herschel was his doctor, Daryl and Merle are janitors, Dale is in the hospital bed next to him, Andrea is there as Dale's wife, Glenn is his specialist, Maggie is a resident, Carol and Beth are nurses. The entire nation shits it's pants in frustration/disappointment.

*Spolers*
Has anyone touched on why Maggie shot Oscar? I understand he was injured and wasn't going to make it over the wall, but he hadn't been bit, so there is a chance he could have lived.

It looked like he had a chest wound, just below the heart? I think he was pretty much dead, so she probably shot him in the head so he wouldn't turn.
