Anyone watch the Talking Dead?
The season resumes on Feb 10, which I'm pretty sure is Mardi Gras weekend

Again, it's no big deal if you're shooting a pistol. You point and which eye you use is no big deal.
But if you're used to mounting a shotgun or rifle to your right shoulder and shooting with your right eye, it's a BIG change to go the other way.

That is what I was thinking. At this point all people without good eye sight, speed, smarts and hacheting type skills would have long been dead. The writers/director got lazy with that bite.

I went through some drill with my shotgun navigating a house type structure and shooting targets, don't remember what I did with my eyes though.

I'm not trying to make fun of you or anything, but if you were mounting your rifle to your right side, it's almost impossible for you to shoot accurately with your left eye.

Some people shoot with both eyes open (actually this is preferred while you are trying to align bead with target)...so I can believe it. But you had to have been using your right eye in addition to your left eye then

I sighted all of my guns in nearly my entire life with my right eye. I always closed my left which is my dominate. I never had a problem. I figured out later that my left eye was dominate. It has literally never caused a problem for me.

Having both eyes open is also preferred when it comes to detecting additional potential threats. Close an eye and a zombie could sneak up and bite you in the arm.
