They also showed a preview of next season. The father and son that are with Tyrese are plotting to overthrow the group

Yeah. Saw that. I doubt those guys are long for the world. Heck, I'd think anyone of even the small remnant prison group could take them both out without breaking a sweat. At least Carl and Carol could I bet. Only danger I see is they maybe take one character down somehow before they get plugged.

Another interesting thing is I don't think any of the previews (at he end of the show or on Talking Dead) showed or mentioned Axel. Hmm.

Hah. Here's a crazy thought: Maybe Rick hallucinates Beth is Lori like he hallucinated the wolverine guy was Shane. Rick then sends out some flirts to Beth and that is why she's all kissy on him in the previews. That would piss Carl off.

At this point all people without good eye sight, speed, smarts and hacheting type skills would have long been dead. The writers/director got lazy with that bite.

Tunnel vision. She was focusing on something during a time of intense stress and she wasn't able to maintain situational awareness.

C: "You should stop."

R: "Stop what?"

C: "Being the leader."

The Gov said he forced himself to look at them. He said they helped him prepare himself for the horrors of the outside world.

Why not?

Here's a ZA idea:

Find the hottest walker you can. Cut her head off. Remove her teeth. Leave her on the nightstand.

Homemade fleshlight.

I had a senior moment: When the Gov. said to bring Merle and Daryl to the Screaming Fields I thought I heard somthing like them them to the Sweet Tater fields. Didn't think that sounded to scary.

Pretty good episode, though I felt like not enough really happened.

Loved seeing Cutty show up. Like that dude.

Also loved how fresh black people show up to the prison, and U-Dawg bites the dust almost immediately. There really is something to this black people quota thing we always joke about.

I like how it ended with Merle/Darryl, but the group is likely headed back to the prison and in the scene that the show ended on sets things up to where the crowd is out for the blood of Darryl and Merle. So I don't know how they're gonna extend that, unless Rick and Co. immediately go back to Woodbury to save Darryl. It doesn't seem terribly realistic for the Gov to get the crowd all hyped up about killing Darryl/Merle only to be like "We'll kill them later..."

The whole scene with Michonne/Gov/Gov's kid was weird. He went from in control to a sobbing idiot in a matter of seconds. I realize that he still thinks his daughter was still in the walker somewhere, but he's smart enough to know what's up at least partly. And then he gets stabbed in the eye and is still sitting there sobbing about his zombified kid. I dunno, it was just weird.

All in all, solid episode but not as good as some of the others this season. And it sucks that now we have to wait two and a half months for this shite to start back up...stupid half seasons and shite..

Is this thread safe to catch up (spoiler-wise)?

Also, I thought head/vertebrae trauma is what kills walkers..so how is it that some of the heads in the aquariums (aquaria?) are still alive and trying to feed? That didn't make sense to me. So when everyone we've seen so far is chopping off walker heads...those walkers aren't dying, and their heads are just laying there waiting to feed?

I think it made perfect sense. That was his little girl. The Governor obviously lost a small but important part of his mind when Penny originally died and turned. I'm not saying that would happen to me if my little girl turned but I could understand it happening to a parent.

Penny being "alive" held him together. That became pretty obvious once Michonne took her out.

No, direct brain trauma is the only way to take them out. They've showed live, severed heads a few times previously.
