Cary Elwes wrote a book "As You Wish" about the making of the movie with a lot of behind the scenes stuff. I got the audiobook and it's narrarated by Cary with tons of appearances by people from the movie (Christopher Guest, Rob Reiner, Wallace Shawn, Robin Wright and many more) reading their contributions. It was a fantastic listen for fans of the movie.

They definitely talk about Andre's legendary drinking. There is one story about how he passed out in the hotel lobby and they just had to leave him there until he slept it off.

I highly recommend getting this book, preferably in audio form. The voices make it really come alive.

The wife and I are big fans of the movie (the movie is one of the first things we quoted to each other randomly), so much so we had the above quote put on the back of our wedding programs.

One of our back-n-forths is that when one says they love the other person more/most, that person responds with "INCONSTHIEVABLE!"

Since I was the one that started that she had that word engraved into the inside of my wedding band.

What was the occasion for this reunion? I still can't believe Claire Underwood or even Jennay was Buttercup. (I only saw Princess Bride this year.)

Saw is the franchise that Cary Elwes built.

My experience watching The Princess Bride mirrored Fred Savage when I was a kid. I was eleven when I saw it. Remember thinking my mom ruined our Friday movie and pizza night by renting a girl movie, begrudgingly watched it, and loved it ever since.
