After reading your comments in this thread, I am convinced that no matter what they did tonight, you were pre-determined to bitch about it. They are wrapping up the show, and this was a good episode. Not sure what you expected to see tonight..

We get it, you like the old Office and it sucks now. Just relax and enjoy the last few episodes.

I think the whole point of them showing Pam in the women's bathroom listening to Jim and Darryl was to foreshadow Pam finally realizing that she needs to suck it up and go with Jim. That was a long sentence.

That's what I was about to comment. I think she'll end up mentioning to him that she overheard and thinks he should do it...and then she'll offer to go with him.

As for the episode, I think Andy made a fantastic exit with that song. A lot of the shots of the looks the characters gave each other during the song said a lot. I think Dwight and Angela end up together and Jam makes a graceful exit.

There's nothing wrong with wrapping up characters that people have followed for almost a decade, with happy endings.
Exactly this. I can attest to this, as I've been a faithful follower since the beginning. Although it has dropped in quality over the years, I will miss it

I enjoyed the episode a lot for what it was. Like others said, it wasn't meant to be hilarious. These last few episodes will be more serious for obvious reasons, but that doesn't make them bad. I like how they are wrapping things up so far. It is good to see Dwight get the manager job. It was also cool to see how he told Dwight jr to scram so Jim can sit there. I liked seeing Oscar and Angela make amends.

JR, I'm not sure what you expect out of this show for these last few episodes, but you must have some insane expectations.

I thought that was one of the best episodes ever. Had me laughing out loud at times. It was nice not to have to deal with the Jam BS.

Kevin and Creed always kill it.

One of the best, most well written, most heartfelt episodes I have watched.

THIS x1000000

Fantastic fricking episode, every thing about it was great.

I agree that Pam is going to offer and go with Jim on the trip around the country. I think the hint of that was when Jim asked Pam if she was still office administrator, no one even remembers that's what she does with it being a made up position and all, so she can leave the branch without it skipping a beat to go with Jim.

Andy's song was fantastic, now I'm sad it's ending, I'd enjoy another season with Dwight as manager, Andy gone, and just a few scenes showing Pam and Jim on the road doing their thing, happy.

Great episode though, A+.

Some people need dozens of friends to say, 'hey look at me, I'm popular!' But not me, I'm very picky. I need three, maybe two. When you meet that someone special you just know. Because a real relationship can't be forced. It should just come about effortlelessly.

While the show did take a dive when Michael left, I think there are some "fans" out there that find it revolting to admit that an episode without Michael is good.

Not only is this an episode that is great in the post Michael era but it is one of the series best I would say.

My wife and I actually got in a little bit of an argument about this over the past few weeks. She sides with Pam, being a mom stuck at home with no help from her husband. I side with Jim, trying to do something he not only loves, but will provide a hell of a lot more security for his family than being a paper salesman in Scranton ever will.

The sunuvabitch of it is that Pam's job is a bullshite position she only got because she pulled a Dorothy Boyd and joined the Michael Scott Paper Company. I'm quite sure she doesnt love being secret office manager to the regional manager. Jim supported her when she decided to move to New York and go to art school before dropping that. Its not like they seem to have a ton of friends, since they balk at every invitation they ever get to do stuff with the other people on the show.

Moving to Philly would be the best thing for them.

She heard him say he wasn't going because of her. They're obviously setting things up for her to feel guilty about keeping him from chasing his dreams

And thats been a theme throughout the run of the show. Characters chasing their dreams.

From the beginning of the show, above everything else, Michael just wanted a wife and family. He finally got it

Andy left to chase his dream of being a star

Dwight finally got his dream of being manager

Jim's wanted to leave the office since episode 1. Continuing their theme, I don't think they're gonna stop him from pursuing the career he's always wanted.

This is actually a pretty good observation about chasing dreams. As much as I don't like the jim and pam drama lately it is a common issue for people. Many people have dreams jobs that have a catch such as family time. Everyone is different and every family is different so some people continue to chase the dreams and some people make the decision in the end for family time. the issue itself is interesting even if the tv drama aspect is annoying.
