Good list, but not the order I would put them in. Having John Oliver at #8 is too early for that spot. Also, you have to have Dream On and Carnivale in the top 20.

Yeah, I dropped Oz after 2 seasons or so. Boardwalk was top 10 for me.

If I did a Top 10 I think it would look something like this:

1a. The Sopranos
1b. The Wire
3. Deadwood
4. GoT (can possibly move up but not likely higher than 3)
5. Boardwalk
6. True Detective (can still move up)
7. Curb
8. Carnivale
9. Rome
10. Dream On (for nostalgia)

Some other favs:
Bored to Death
Eastbound
Arli$$
Flight of the Concords
Entourage
Larry Sanders
Treme
The Hitchhiker
How to Make it in America
True Blood (which was pretty awful )

I've never heard of "Six Feet Under". Curb should definitely be ahead.

I completely agree about John Oliver. Plus, some of his stories such as the NCAA and paternity leave lack objectivity on so many levels. Yet many times he does make good points.

I am going to catch so much hell, but I would put Ja'mie: Private School Girl at #20, because that shite was my guilty pleasure

Yeah, I think I should've put Rome ahead of Carnivale but I liked Boardwalk more either way. Maybe more eps of Rome and it would be higher. It's a fluid list, but my opinion is mine.

I would sacrifice Boardwalk in its entirety for one more season of Rome and Carnivale.

I watched a few episodes in season 2 I think and it was good but I didn't catch up season 1 and just let it pass. I may give it a go as it seems like the series finale is universally acclaimed.

Hmm, I would have definitely loved more Carnivale and Rome but not at the expense of Boardwalk. Some people didn't like BE but I really liked it a lot. Why can't we have more of all 3??

It drove social justice warriors up a creek, so you know it's pretty solid

True Blood was also a guilty pleasure, but it definitely doesn't crack the top 20

Go ahead and make fun of me, but Sex and The City is top 10. It doesn't get the love because it is made for females. Having watched 90% of it while trying to seduce my now wife, I really thought it was a great show (the movies sucked balls.).
