Goddamn't knew the Millennials would start fricking each other

Dammit Gen X... you got killed in that puzzle.
Initially I think I would have done the same thing though and ensured a head start on the puzzle even if it was more pieces... but reading a recap article apparently it took them a lot longer than they showed to do the puzzle so the little time they gained was pretty inconsequential.

The more I watch, the puzzles are always the equalizer. Gen-X must have been intimidated physically because there is no way they were completing that puzzle. It almost never works out in puzzle challenges. Should not have taken the short cuts, life lesson there.

Sorry, I'm not looking that close at the dudes.
Yeah you are, you're just fixated further down.
How close of a look does it take to notice a douche hair clump on top of someone's head?

Yep I agree, but I think the Millennials thought they were in better shape physically and had not thought past that to the puzzle and got lucky.
That and being older, plus the maze, probably by the time the Gen-x's got to the puzzle needed some coffee to wake the hell up. They all looked very confused doing the puzzle, LOL.

Poor CiCi with the random votes
I can't believe anyone took a shortcut on the challenge. A minimum 3-4 minute possible gain on a puzzle with 20 extra pieces? Real head scratcher

I didn't watch the end segment of who voted for who... I figured she got the votes from the David/Rachel/Ken trio who weren't in the bigger alliance voting Rachel out?

Within the alliance, guys voted rachel, the girls voted CiCi or vice versa if I recall correctly.

my first post in one of these threads, so im sorry if coming off rude. Can we get pic of each contestant in the OP and a red X on them as they get voted off?
Posted on 9/22/16 at 9:52 am to Cdawg
Ah, so they split votes between those two.
Posted on 9/22/16 at 9:58 am to LSUBoo
Yeah they talked about splitting the vote in case one had a hidden immunity idol, but I thought they were talking about that guy(Dave? Already forgot his name) and Rachel.

Both were equally annoying but, at least rachel had tits.

Yeah. I think they just wanted to have Paranoid Dave play his idol (waste it). I think they split in case one of the others had it or Dave gave it to one of them.
I don't think they wanted Dave ousted. Just the idol (if he had it).
At least, that is how I interpreted the voting.

I think they picked the most stereotypical millenial people.. jesus christ.
I think that even though one of the Gen Xers was telling people to not underestimate the millenials, they still did.
Funny part is, Gen X talked about how they work hard and yada yada yada.. they were really no better off during the first night, and they took all of the shortcuts in the challenge and lost. Irony.

I told my wife the same thing. They probably didn't show it because it didn't fit in with the theme of the first episode. The free spirits had fun and got screwed at night. In reality, both groups were probably going to fail that night no matter how much effort they put in.
I don't know if people can't help themselves or they are just naïve, but there is a really easy way to avoid getting voted off first. You work hard in camp, work hard in the challenge, and stay in the damn background. Maybe you can get away with barking out orders in camp if you know what you are doing. In challenges, though, there really is no upside to volunteering to do anything in the limelight. Even if you think you are a superstar in challenges, it's just going to create a target. Bide your time, make the merge, then start killing it in individual challenges.

I think David and Rachel just couldn't help themselves.
In general though, this is just so obvious, but inevitably a handful fail miserably at not drawing unwanted attention to themselves. Volunteer and fail, target on your back as a weak link. Volunteer and crush it, also putting a target on your back as a threat.
And never ever make such a strong alliance so early (looking at you, "triforce") because other players will have no choice but to break it up.
