I know they have to do something to differentiate the seasons, but these gimmicks are so pointless. By the 3rd episode, there will likely be a shakeup that completely dissolves this generational battle. I'm still going to watch, but I just had to get that off my chest.
I'd really like to see a season where all of the rules are adjusted. I'm tired of the cast knowing exactly what is coming next for the most part. They plan for the merge and have a good idea of when it will occur. They know the gist of the hidden idols. They know the tie breakers. I think it would be great if they sold it to the cast as a normal season, then surprise them with variances in the rules every step of the way. It doesn't have to be a blindside that screws someone, but at least change things up so they don't always know what is coming.

I'd just like to see them have a season with 18 actual survivalists, maybe a knife and small amount of rice to get them started and then see how they do.
