I can't see the Joker sitting down and saying "Ok. I want laughter, I mean like the literal words "Ha! Ha! Ha!" on this side, and a joker like from a playing card on the other. That would look badass. Oh, and the word "damaged" in script on my forehead, so people know I'm serious about being crazy. I love ICP bro."

Some are saying the tattoo version was a joke and all of these contradicting images are being released in order to get feedback or troll. I guess we'll see.

I don't mind the look. I think it could work and it may fit Leto's style better than something more "linear."
However, it seems people are going bonkers over it.

The Batman from Batman vs. Superman is along the Death in the Family storyline, no? If so, he obviously has a long history with the joker. Makes sense that Suicide Squad would respect that.

I meant in appearance, Ledger was the outlier.
