I was so psyched for it too. I got my old science fiction buddy to go see it with me in hopes of making a nostalgic memory, and I was immediately disappointed. I tried to convince myself that it wasn't that bad, but there's no saving that story. I guess at least they made it look pretty.

It's not a joke or a troll. I thought it was extremely pretentious and its entire premise collapses under its own weight. I know a lot of people love it, but I was literally laughing at the inconsistencies and mocking it in the theater.

The zero gravity scene should have been QC'ed and reconsidered, because that's where I said nope. Also, they could have done with about 7 minutes less footage of that fricking van falling.

Christopher Nolan just chases himself up his own arse and his "deep" plots become extremely convoluted.

Civil War. Admittedly more of a DC fan, but I had really high hopes for this movie. The trailers sold a much more serious tone than what the film actually was. Everybody raved about that airport scene and I thought it was so forced and had absolutely no stakes, with the characters cracking childish jokes throughout. I guess disney knows what they are doing though.

Man of Steel

I had such high hopes for this movie, but missed it in the theaters. Read the reviews calling it terrible, so I lowered my expectations significantly. It failed even to meet those. What a shite movie.

I was also really disappointed in the Hobbit movies. The fact that there are some absolutely fantastic scenes (Riddles in the dark, Bilbo and Smaug) just drove home how disjointed and weird the rest of the movies were. I'm gonna checkout that fan edit.

The Last Airbender is the worst movie I have ever seen.

I didn't realize it was shamalan when I bought the ticket, but walked out after twenty to thirty minutes, went into a movie with Cameron Diaz and Tom cruise which wasn't terrible. But that's the last time I walked out of a movie and it's definitely the last time I accidently gave money to that fricking hack.
