I agree. Scar face sucks

It's not as bad as you make it sound, but it's not especially good. It's watchable, but extremely dated (and it wasn't great when it came out, either).

Yeah its not terrible but its definitely near the bottom of Brian De Palma's filmography.

I'm with you. Quite possibly one of the most overhyped movies in all of history. That Cuban accent is so bad that I first thought it was a joke.
Agree on all counts.
I had seen Pacino in several movies before I watched Scarface. He wasn't believable with that accent. Overrated movie.

If you watched this movie in 1983 as a drunk, stoned fifteen year old at the one dollar movie theater in Shreveport you were hooked on this movie. Came on HBO a few months later. It was a huge cultural part of my growing up years and I have to watch it whenever it comes on. One of Pacino's best performances ever.

Not sure how I got in at age 15, but I did. I was hooked at the chainsaw scene.
Was disappointed in the lack of titties, though.

It was just a brutally honest portrait of how fricked up Miami culture was at that time.

I love Pacino and gangster movies are my favorite type of movies but I think Scarface is the most overrated movie ever. It's almost like watching a parody movie its so over the top.

Therein lies its greatness. You don't get it apparently.

Couldn't have said it better.

Scarface is awesome. First time I saw it was 7 years ago and immediately an all time favorite.
I love several lines in it. I love the limitless ambition to rule and frick everyone if need be.
Great fricking character in Montana. End up watching almost every time it comes on now.

I hope you mean on hbo or showtime, because, Scarface, like Casino, Goodfellas, and Godfather, is unwatchable on TV.
This whole town's a pussy, just waiting to get fricked

the terrible montage?
Someone obviously has never walked along the razors edge.
That move takes it to the limit

I, too, think Scarface with Pacino is fricking terrible.
So, so bad.
So, so bad.

I never could get past the chainsaw in the hotel scene.

When somebody mentions Scarface, I tell them to watch the original.
1932 with Paul Muni. His performance is better.

Good to see I'm not the only one. Scarface is an awful movie.
