As a kid I remember him in Hook. As I watch movies now he put Goodwill Hunting as one of my favorite movies. His performance was just so solid and outside the comedic world. One of the most shocking deaths I can recall in long time. Thoughts to his family and may he rest in peace.

Btw, The World According to Garp is one of my favorite movies of all-time. Not necessarily a great movie, but I watched it at the right time in my life.

Williams was much older than me, but I watched him on Mork and Mindy, all the way through his career. Although he had issues with joke theft at times, he was a great comedian and helped define the comedian turned dramatic actor that is mainsteam now. He was simply an icon in entertainment for me.

Depression is an underrated killer. Sad stuff if he truly committed suicide. :(

I'm old enough to remember him in Mork & Mindy. His appearances on the Tonight show with Carson were legendary. He would have Carson laughing so hard he had to have Kleenex to wipe the tears from his eyes.

A true comedic genius who was obviously battling perssonal demons that ultimately caused him to apparently take his own life.

RIP Robin.

It's 0600 hours. What's the "O" stand for? "O MY GOD IT'S EARLY!"

fricking loved his movies. He was one of those actors whose films I actually looked forward to.

Yeah, I go through his weather reports from GM, V every day I get up in Atlanta, GA in the summer. "It's hot, It's damn hot!"

He's played some really amazing roles but Good Will Hunting is his masterpiece, imo. He was at his best and showed his range as an actor. Mrs. Doubtfire was also great.

We lost two great ones this year: Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman

Loved when he and Jonathan Winters were on Carson together.

Loved Mork & Mindy, even the Mearth years.
