Yep. It's having the opposite effect of what they intend.

If you look at the criticism of "Last Jedi," can you imagine what they would have said about Luke just getting his arse handed to him by Vader? Oh my God.

Good God this guy is clueless. Everytime he opens his mouth I'm amazed at how stupid this little transvestite queer continues to be.

Rian Johnson is never going to admit he’s a hack. If you listen to him, there will always be some goofy excuse for his failure. The Ghostbuster reboot crew did the same thing, screaming misogyny when the obvious truth was they made a bad movie. Rian Johnson is a goober but I don’t blame him for trying anything to get out from under the mess he made. Laying low and shutting up would probably serve him better at this point.

I’m just sad for Mark Hamill. He not only had to bend over and take it, he’s now being forced to say he liked it. Very, very sad.

Seriously, he’s mocking the very concept of arcs, tension, and non Mary Sues. God I can not wait for the Plinkett Review on this and just dragging Rian Johnson through the coals and Rian being forced to watch their hatred for him.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how Johnson is still at the helm of a new trilogy after he wrecked Star Wars for half the fan base. I understand many people like TLJ, though I have no idea how, but even they have to realize maybe it would be best for Johnson to step aside for the good of the franchise. Yet Kennedy is asleep at the wheel or just hell bent on running Star Wars into the ground.

Just here to say two things.

First, frick Rian Johnson, again.

Second,
quote:

Johnson: Yeah, "Empire" would have gotten roasted. If you look at the criticism of "Last Jedi," can you imagine what they would have said about Luke just getting his arse handed to him by Vader? Oh my God.

He really is the worst thing that ever happened to a movie in the history of filmmaking.

I prefer Luke getting his arse handed to him by Vader than getting his arse handed to him by a no-talent writer/director.

Maybe Mark is being told he will be in the next movies if he is a good boy so he took the deal? Otherwise, why would he care if money is not in play? or maybe he was offered more money to play nice? Who knows, but yes it is odd that he went from where he was to where he is.

I was vocal at first on not minding the movie, but Johnson has since changed my mind over to where you guys were already. He is a piece of shite.

Dude deserves one of those RDJ level residuals deals for coming back for IX.

He doesn't need the money as much as they need him to make it anything but a total clusterfrick.

Watched it for the first time last night since seeing it in theaters. I wanted to like it. I tried to like it. It’s simply just a really bad movie. Rose and the purple hair chick are fricking awful.

I thought it was a very "meh" movie the first time I saw it and withheld my hard judgement on it until I watched it a second time. So I waited two weeks and went back to see it with an open mind trying to find out if I really liked it or not and I disliked it even more. The gap between the things I liked and the things I hated widened something fiercely.

The big issues that I had with Last Jedi is the timeline of the events, the editing of the sequences and the whole Holdo/Poe/Finn/Rose storyline and events. The things I liked in the movie were mediocre and the things I disliked in the movie, I really loathed. There seemed to be no in between.

I can go back to ANY of the other movies, including the prequels, and pick out the parts I don't like and I don't loathe any of them. I can deal with them with just a dislike like Jar Jar, the whole trade wars/blockades, etc. I don't loathe any of those things, I just don't like them and the Clone Wars animated series actually shores up and helps me cope with some of those prequel issues too.

The Last Jedi is a very polarizing movie, it has some better parts in it but when they are bad, it is just horrible.

When Solo has a $75 million opening weekend, that's when they'll finally have to admit they're fricked. While Deadpool 2 is getting some initial bad rumors, I'll gladly pay for that one its second weekend in hopes it outgrosses Solo. I will not be seeing it in theaters.

I'm thinking Disney is extremely pissed off at him because there's no doubt his press tour before the movie led to them losing millions of dollars. I showed some of his interviews to my parents, and that convinced them not to pay money to see it, so that's 2 tickets there.

I'm thinking the House of Mouse attorneys have been following him around with a cattle prod forcing him to go around the country praising the movie. But the cat's out of the bag that Mark hated the movie and was simply dumbfounded when he read it. He was pretty openly mocked on set by Johnson, when there's no way in hell JJ did this with Harrison Ford.

Rian Johnson is one more stupid TLJ soundbite away from making me retroactively hate Ozymandias.

He's correct. It was criticized back then.

Maybe but I don't remember a single complaint. Maybe Gene and Roger but I don't remember their review. Every human I knew had their head exploded with the big reveal and I didn't know a single person who didn't love it.

Probably the only negative was younger folks weren't used to the serial formula of not finishing a story so the cliffhanger left them wanting more.

Ironically the more RJ talks the more I hate his film. Just shut up and live with your pile of garbage.
