I liked it too but Nick Swardson's character almost ruins the whole movie for me.

I agree. It was annoying but Brooklyn Decker and Jennifer Aniston in a bikini made up for it.

I haven't had time to watch it all the way through, but the clips I've seen on FX have been pretty funny

What about Chuck and Larry? That shite was funny.

Easily my favorite film with Adam Sandler since "Big Daddy". Definitely up there with "Billy Madison", "The Wedding Singer", and "Happy Gilmore"(my personal favorite).

Just Go with it? I enjoy this one too

eh, not so much, but...

Blended was surprisingly funny. I thought I'd hate it, then caught a few minutes of it and ended up enjoying it.

isn't this just that episode of futurama where earth gets invaded by aliens from the planet nintendu-64 (donkey kong, space invaders, etc) and fry, an expert gamer, leads the defense?

Yep. First thing I thought of when I saw the previews.

Me too I was surprised. Speaking of Drew, 50 First Dates was solid. I loved Sean Austin's character. The mesh shirt was gold.

Yep. First thing I thought of when I saw the previews.

Actually, I think it's based on this short (called Pixels) from a few years ago.

I noticed this in his grown ups movie. He would go out of his way to be an a-hole like it was supposed to be funny. And it just wasn't.

But with Little Nicky, they bring up Popeye's Chicken (in New York no less) probably every third scene, make it a very prominant plot point, and then have him run Popeye's at the end. Seriously, what the frick does Popeye's have anything to do with the son of Satan going to New York?

Popeyes chicken is fricking awesome!

Just got out of it. I thought it was good for what it is. Not sure what the critics were expecting from a movie that is about aliens trying to extinguish all life on earth using 80's video games. Josh Gad stole every scene he was in. Dinklage was great too. And Sean Bean didn't die

I find this recent trend in his movie roles disturbing.

This dude's movies have always been horrible, I'm glad everyone finally came around and realized it.

First, acting like Sandler has always been a joke. He has made some incredible comedies. Now granted, some of those comedies were when I was 14-24 in the height of my immaturity (although, I still think I'm there), but comedic masterpieces for most guys.

I have never liked any of Sandler's comedies.

Second, who really gives a frick about product placement? I've never understood why people care. Does it really ruin a movie to say someone is going to eat at Popeyes? It's their job to make money. If a company wants to advertise and pay millions in a movie for a 30 second scene, I see no harm. I have a friend who hated Secret Life of Walter Mitty solely because they talked about Papa Johns and Cinnabon.

There's a difference between product placement and running a fricking commercial in your movie. Especially when it's a movie that's so poorly made that there's nothing to distract you from realising that you're watching a bunch of commercials instead of a movie.

There's also the problem that Sandler's comedies are gigantic scams. Movies that cost nothing, are shot in a week, and somehow have massive budgets. Why? To give money to Sandler's friends.

Third, I would say the majority of people in this thread have not seen Pixels.

Why would I? I've watched enough Sandler to know what to expect and that I won't like it. I also know that I've seen a better version of the movie in Futurama.
