The Year of Living Dangerously
Has Mel Gibson, Sigourney Weaver and Linda Hunt but every time I mention it I get blank stares.

Slaughterhouse Five (1972)

Based on Kurt Vonnegut novel. About a present day middle-aged WWII vet who has flashbacks to German prison camps and events during the war and in between.
Michael Sacks, Valerie Perrine, Ron Liebman, Eugene Roche

Excellent....

Curse of the Demon (1958)

About an American psychologist who travels to England to follow up on a supposed ancient demonic cult and a satanic writ that contains peril for whoever has it in their possession. Very scary creatures.
Scared the hell out of me when I watched it in the 70s. If they remade it today it may be even scarier, esp. with the special effects they could to.
Dana Andrews, Peggy Cummins

I remember an action comedy from 1987 that got a very limited theater release called Real Men with Jim Belushi and John Ritter. I haven't seen it in forever, but it was an entertaining movie for its time.

Another more popular but dark comedy from 1987 was Throw Momma from the Train with Billy Crystal and Danny DeVito. If you grew up in the 80's and 90's, it's not obscure. But it doesn't get much play anymore, so the younger generation may not have seen it.

It had that great line, "Not these clowns again." (After Belushi says that, out of nowhere, actual clowns are revealed, ready to attack Belushi and Ritter.)
