Reboots, remakes or sequels you would be interested in

So we all know Hollywood has run completely out of original ideas and is rebooting/remaking everything and most of it is absolutely cringeworthy.
That said, what are some ideas you would go for?

Godmother Trilogy starring Leslie Jones and Amy Schumer

I'd take a John Carter remake with less of a run time and better marketing. I enjoyed the original.

I would like to see a decent Avatar: The Last Airbender not made by M. Knight Shamalamadingdong.
I would also like to see an Ender's Game that doesn't suck.

Yeah, that's the big one. But they got to do it right. Properly cast, all 3 films shot simultaneously, all films 3+ hours long, and actually be respectful of the source material. I'd want either Brad Bird or Edgar Wright to direct it.

An adaptation for Go Set a Watchman (the "sequel" to To Kill a Mockingbird) would be interesting mainly for the reaction.
As far as remakes and sequels go, some of the soft reboot TV shows have been pretty good (Hannibal, Bates Motel, etc) but I'm already kinda tired of the influx of them.

Jason and the Argonauts or Clash of the Titans. Good versions, not cgi fests though.

there are some goofy comedies from the 80s that weren't huge hits but could be re-spun into great remakes
i've always thought a remake of Real Men could be epic

Don't know it would be done justice but I would be in on an remake of They Live.

i think the issue you'd run into with they live would be a huge budget and CGI and over the top action. also i can only imagine what they'd turn it into in Trump's America
i honestly think that you could potentially make some real bank buying up cheap properties from the 70s/80s with potential and remaking them on the cheap...your biggest profit potential occurs in horror and comedy. you can make them on the cheap and you don't need much of a return to keep it afloat and if you hit on one in like...5 as hits, you print money

Dune
Good news then. Dune is on its way to being remade.
Back in January, they confirmed Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival, Blade Runner 2) will be the director.

I'd like to see someone give Flash Gordon another go. Kinda surprised it hasn't been tried since that Sam Jones (cult-classic) flop.

I am a little surprised that Deathwish hasn't been redone. Tom Hardy as Bronson's lead character would be legit.
Although challenging, the changes in persuasion possible with new technologies over the last four decades might make Clockwork Orange possible to redo in a creative way. Flash Gordon also seems primed for a reboot with how much Ted pimped it out.

i think Flash Gordon (and Dune, honestly) are better as ideas and just will never work at movies

I would love a well done sequel to Big Trouble in Little China. It would be nice to see what Jack Burton is up to these days.

You literally can't do Clash of The Titans without CGI now.
What do you want them to use? Stop motion? Then everyone would bitch about how shitty it looks.
