14) Scott Tenorman Must Die (5x04) is too low and Make Love, Not Warcraft =/= top 25 is suspect.

Here's my defense on it being that low:

quote:

This episode is like one very long filthy joke. Aside from Cartman gluing pubes to his face, the episode really isn't that funny until the punch line, but holy hell its one of the most notorious punch lines ever for a show and one of the greatest plot twists ever. Like "The Red Badge of Gayness", this episode saw a great change to Cartman's character. From this episode forward, Cartman became much more sinister, threatening, and horrifying child. This is the first episode Cartman has really gotten his way for something terrible (its like the Coyote catching the Road Runner) and no parent in their right mind from that day forward would allow their kid anywhere near him.

Make Love, Not Warcraft =/= top 25 is suspect.

That narrowly missed the mark. I remember when making the list that I thought it was the biggest missed episode, and I chose Trapped in the Closet over it. But I like all 25 of those episodes more than that one. Yes, a great episode, but there are shite tons of South Park episodes. Not an insult to the episode that its not in my Top 25.

That's almost undeniably one of the best. It's the episode that defined Butters and Cartman's relationship. And the end is perfect, where the cop asks if making an entire town panic and losing all of his friends was worth going to Casa Bonita, and Cartman responds "Totally". Aside from killing Scott's parents, that has to be his most defining scene as a character.

EDIT: Also it's in Matt and Trey's Top 10 as well, so take that for what its worth: LINK

OK. Cool!

I thought it was because you had a personal relationship with the locale.

I went there when I was really young, and then 2 times afterwards. It was represented very well in the episode!

Agreed. That's my #1 overall SP episode, hands down.

The best thing about Butters's Bottom Bitch is when he tells all his bitches at the end to "take a knee." I just about lost my shite when he said that.

I'm not a huge fan of episodes that focus almost solely on Butters (I think he's an amazing side character, but not a great main one, if that makes sense), but BBB is a great episode.

So nothing in the first 4 seasons makes your top 25?

Two from Season 3.

And South Park was mostly just swearing its first 2 seasons. Go rewatch them. Not nearly as funny as the high point of the series, which was Seasons 5-11.

EDIT: And here's what Matt and Trey had to say about Butters Bottom Bitch: LINK
