I second grabbing a drink at Cindy's and venturing out of the loop for food. However, my favorite place in the loop is Revival Food Hall- it's basically an upscale food court of local Chicago restaurants. Highly recommend....

re: Spain and Portugal in a week? - foreverLSU
Bold move cotton. I've been to Madrid, Barcelona, and Lisbon (not all in the same trip). You need a solid week to cover Barcelona and Madrid alone, I wouldn't push to do 3 cities unless you can extend your trip to 10-11 days total....

re: Chicago with kids - foreverLSU
Hold up- you want to rip on the bean for being a tourist trap, yet one of your recs is Navy Pier? Navy Pier is a pain to get to, and it is a huge tourist trap with essentially zero redeeming features outside of a ferris wheel. You get a nice view of the city but I can name 5 other places to do that....

re: thoughts on having a female roommate - foreverLSU
I lived with a guy roommate before my now husband and I lived in sin together. We had similar backgrounds- both were Greek at SEC schools living in DC. Roommate and I had separate bathrooms- IMO that's a must when having a roommate of the opposite sex. Additionally, when we moved in together we were...

I graduated undergrad in 2009 and had to take a job that only required a HS degree because it was such slim pickings (I'm actually still with the company and I've been promoted twice since). A lot of my fellow graduates defaulted to random grad programs to avoid the slim pickings job market and ...
