I was saying this exact same thing to my gf when we were watching it. It's been like 5 years and there's this big of a breakdown? I'd understand if it was several generations later, but it seemed that whole community was speaking like Zachry Bailey.

They spend all their time on hand signals and walking in choreographed sequences to ultimately form concentric circles

Judging from the preview for next week, Dwight didn't help Daryl escape.

He looked pissed when they found Daryl gone and fat Joey killed.

Also did I understand Richard's plan correctly when he was telling it to Daryl - that his "tracks" led them back to the armory and then to Carol's? Why the frick would you lead them back to your weapons cache?

Might have been the worst episode in the series

This gets said so much it's lost all meaning at this point.

Hardly the worst episode, but it was slow and a bit plodding. Still kept my interest throughout.

The junkyard group was weird, but I kind of like that some time has passed that there are tribes being established with their own style, language, and customs. If anything, they will be cannon fodder for the war with Negan.

The pit walker scene was awesome. Just some incredible special effects by TWD team.

I also really loved the scene with Daryl and Carol see one another. Just a good, emotional scene; and I love how character of Carol and how she's so strong and so vulnerable.

I expect a few more slower episodes setting up this war, and then a few high budget, epic battles to end the season.

Which I found interesting since they primarily communicate without talking, or speaking with emotion, to not draw attention to themselves. Just another example of people evolving in the new world.

This was horrible. Walkers have been portrayed as being slow and dumb. This one is magically quicker and able to injure rick twice easily. That fight should have lasted 5 seconds like all the others.

okay...I'm sure it was "horrible"

This one wasn't exactly fast and smart

Fresher the walker, the quicker they are. It's also in a confined space and covered head to toe in sharp metal. Of course it injured Rick easily.

Rick had no weapons to fight a walker covered basically in armor (also note the full head protection).

Seems like you're looking to just bitch. It was a fun scene.

Nah. Rick placed his hand right on a spike. The other was incidental contact with another spike.

I didn't realize this, but it's true

some fans have seemed to notice a peculiar trend among female walkers: They all apparently decided to wear dresses on the day of the apocalypse.

This is said to perhaps be behind the odd scene last night where the Kingdom chick shot a walker and commented that her sister had that same dress. Someone told her, "Don't think about it."

The guns on just one residential block in the average suburban neighborhood would supply an army. Add in the Wal-Marts, Bass Pro, wholesale distributors, etc., and the remaining humans should be awash in guns.

Not even the Saviors would be able to collect and hoard all the guns in a decent size region. It would take far too many man hours.

I'd guess once civilization fell apart, all of those stores were looted very quickly, and people probably had more access to move about a bit more, so just because they got guns in this location does not mean they remained in that location with those guys.

At this point a few years or however long it's been into the apocalypse, I highly doubt the local Walmart or random neighborhoods haven't all been raided.

The other thing, guns are one thing, but bullets are the real issue.

Not really bitching. You said it was awesome and I disagree. Rick is supposed to be the badass that can do anything. Walkers are dumb, he should have just pushed it over and the looked at the stupid haircut lady with a wtf face. That would have been better to me.

I guess that's how a badass would have done it though.

Rick and crew are getting soft though. Hopefully, that changes and without stupid haircut lady.

There are over 300 million guns in America. More than one per person.

If 99% of the population dies, there will be more than 100 guns per person and plenty of ammo. You could fill an F150 a time or two with the guns and ammo in the houses on my street alone.

Then there are the military stocks that aren't included in the 300M figure. Hit a national guard armory or Army base, and guns and ammo are the least of your problems. The police stations would also be jackpots.

This is assuming they aren't all locked up. I might be wrong, but I haven't seen any scenes where they are busting a safe open for guns or ammo? I know safes are in the minority, but most of my buddies have them.

we'll find out since they are going on a gun run.

I liked the episode. Typical TWD character development.

Just glad it's back on!
