I'm having a hard time understanding that groups M.O.? Also are we supposed to believe they survived this whole time without guns? And once Rick delivers the guns, do they know how to use them? And they haven't once had contact with the saviors?
That episode could have been about 15 minutes long and accomplished just as much.

I was saying this exact same thing to my gf when we were watching it. It's been like 5 years and there's this big of a breakdown? I'd understand if it was several generations later, but it seemed that whole community was speaking like Zachry Bailey.

How could any group have an unsatisfied demand for guns?
I'm guessing that just 1% or less of humans survived, so there would be tons of empty houses and stores full of guns.
The guns on just one residential block in the average suburban neighborhood would supply an army. Add in the Wal-Marts, Bass Pro, wholesale distributors, etc., and the remaining humans should be awash in guns.
Not even the Saviors would be able to collect and hoard all the guns in a decent size region. It would take far too many man hours.
