Just an FYI, but that kind of talk gets you banned (for not RAing) depending on what kind of mood the owners of the site are in.
I can confirm this based on experience

How big are spoilers in the show? How would it affect my viewing?
we have already talked about some decently big spoilers. Now I don't know how well you would understand it but it would be best to stay away.

here is just a practical question but I remember the device they used in Walter's lab on the guy connected to the Ghost network. For some reason I never remember Walter having to drill into other people's heads. Was he a special case or did the show just for get to do that?

I know we have, but I still think that first timers could be okay, especially for a good while. It all depends on how important the show is to you, I guess. Like someone earlier said, he was a first timer but wasn't really worried too much about spoilers.

Don't know why you continue to want first time watchers to be in here. I think there is plenty that can and will be stated that will ruin the show for them.
And I am not sure about the Pic. That is side boob not hand boob.
You see far worse just about every Friday in the gif thread on the OT.

Agents breaking in without warrant still bugs me. Yes once the show becomes about the survival of the planet, a lock pick isn't so important, but early in the show it bugs me just like it did with my initial watch.
Definitely shows that Peter don't give a frick. He feels above the law.

Peter was a bit boring and his Big Eddie plot stunk.
Definitely agree the Big Eddie plot is pretty underwhelming.

I always give Star Trek credit for making the technology sound like a real feasible science.
Same can be said for Fringe. Walter is very good at coming up with explanations for everything and Peter plays the skeptic but unlike Scully, he is willing to admit Walter is right when the science proves to be true.
This is what personally makes the show for me. They take a legitimate science and take it too far, but always bring it back to the base science. That is the show in a nutshell and what I love about it.

Hopefully you're gone Cap, but if you're not, you should be. What makes Fringe such a good show is the way they seamlessly merged multiple story lines into one over arching story. So it's quite likely that when we hit key points of early seasons we're going to talk about how that ties into key points of later seasons. You definitely don't want to be in this thread until you've finished the show.

Yeah, but I always felt they overdid it with the brain science/mind reading. That stuff was just ridiculous pretty much every time. "Mostly dead" works in The Princess Bride because you know it's supposed to be fantasy.

This is a science fiction show.

Yes, but they are trying to be grounded in reality which is why they always attempt to explain the how/why things work. It's not a major complaint, just something I wish they would have done less because there really isn't a way to handle it better within the bounds of present day science.

Clarke's Law
When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.
The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

If you want me to believe the Observers can do it, no problem. If you want me to believe Walter and his 1970s era laboratory can do it, you need to pass the acid.

Because I'd like as many people to participate as possible. And depending on your stance on the how (how much you care about it), spoilers could be less of a big deal than other shows. That's all. If they stay away, obviously I understand why.

Nah. She's topless. That's not allowed (handbras have always not been allowed). But feel free to put an allowable pic up though to replace it...I dig me some Anna Torv.

Well Olivia was like "I'm a federal agent...I can't break in," and Peter was all like "frick that, I'm not one, so I'll do it."
I'm looking forward to continuing the episodes...I had to make myself stop on Sunday so I didn't get ahead.

they will need plenty of miracles to get through these next few episodes.

Went through 5 before I was able to stop myself. I tend to forget my episode Points if I speed too far ahead.

Same here. That's why I just jot down notes/bullet points and text them to myself for posting.
