I hear you.
I think a lot of this is wait and see. I really think if Hemsworth’s Thor is done, it’s not Marvel’s choice. So trying a Portman Thor is fine with me if it gains traction. I’m definitely happier about her than Captain Marvel. If it doesn’t work, no big deal. They move on from Thor.
But let’s just wait and see what happens.
As far who in the MCU is a likable/popular actor/character? They still have Chris Pratt. Gunn may be done, but I doubt Pratt is. The raccoon and Groot too. Those three alone have a presence. Obviously Holland who has cemented himself as elite status after NWH. Paul Rudd is still around. They may want to bring him around more. They have Ryan Reynolds who everyone loves. All of these guys are stars with great screen presence and they need to be utilized immediately somehow imo. They can actually utilize Hugh Jackman as well. Even with recasting Wolverine, you can still utilize Jackman because of the Multiverse. And they also have Ruffalo who is an extremely likable Hulk.
No RDJ or Evans and Hemsworth may make an exit (hopefully not), but they still have some power.

Also having the Fantastic Four coming with likely Krasinski as Reed and maybe Blunt as Storm will help. Of course if they nail the casting of Johnny and Ben that will be a big plus as well

And yeah, there’s definitely opportunity for future characters. I was just naming already established ones.
Hopefully Krazinski can get someone to utilize him better than MoM, but yeah. I think the potential is there. Everyone loves him.

How in the hell the hell does his old girlfriend become another Thor? That seems like a really weird narrative thread to start the movie. Remember when Superman was banging that chick? Well, now she has turned into another Superman. Cape and all for some reason.

The story of Jane becoming Thor is actually pretty great.
Some of y’all need to stop bitching about women taking leads. If it’s done right, it’s awesome.
If they follow the story from the comics, both lady Thor and Gorr, this movie is gonna be incredible. I also love the fact they are planting more seeds towards Knull. I don’t expect him to be in the movie but between the necrosword and the symbiote left at the end of NHW, they’re definitely planning something

No the idea as anything else than a What If story is dumb as frick.
Tokenized Heroes don’t last and are fundamentally boring.
You can push other characters without putting on the star characters laundry.
Lady Sif becoming worthy. Valkyrie becoming worthy.
Not that they should do either.
But this movie will be great.
I will never stop complaining about with the comic industry going woke. It’s led me to stop buying.

October 2014 they released issue 1 of Lady Thor. I know it was a what if comic but they turned it into a legit run and it’s phenomenal
