Zeus is not the villain. Gorr the God Butcher is.

Apparently the Greek gods, or at least Zeus, will make an appearance.

Gorr will kill them to earn his moniker. That's basically their only point in the movie - calling it now.

Yeah, Thor pretty consistently has a 90 IQ throughout the MCU, which Loki frequently uses to his advantage. Jane is already almost certainly more intelligent than Thor, so I don’t see the point being made here.

There is a storyline in the comics where Thor's hubris/aggression almost leads him down a very different path. Don't think they are doing that exact storyline here, but its possible.

Portman is gone after this movie though. At least that is what I've seen in other places online.

Hopefully Hercules, Avenger and friendly rival to Thor, survives.

I wanted him to play Captain Britain but I don’t think that character is in the cards unless Excalibur/MI:13 come into play. Which they should given nearly every event takes place in London. Far From Home, Thor 2, Eternals, Moon Knight, there’s a Sanctum in London, Blade will be set in London, I think. am I missing anything?

I don't mind Kate Bishop in place of Hawkeye. She is easy on the eyes, as charismatic as Jeremy Renner is/was.

The problem is that the new Avengers in this picture have trouble carrying a movie with out the big names.

The new She-Hulk is a tv series type character that can appear in movies, not someone that people would show up to see. When they do planet Hulk, it will be a big money movie.

Sam is going to carry a movie like Steve did.

SJ is a movie star or at least she was before these movies and she still couldn't carry her own movie, what makes them think the Pugh girl will?

Ironheart/War machine are background characters that are better suited in tv series format.

I don't see Natalie Portman signing on long enough to lead any of these movies considering the conditioning she would have to do each time and I don't see her being that type person.

They will have to introduce some new big leads and, lets face it, they will be male characters to put out front of movies.

As far who in the MCU is a likable/popular actor/character? They still have Chris Pratt. Gunn may be done, but I doubt Pratt is. The raccoon and Groot too. Those three alone have a presence. Obviously Holland who has cemented himself as elite status after NWH. Paul Rudd is still around. They may want to bring him around more. They have Ryan Reynolds who everyone loves. All of these guys are stars with great screen presence and they need to be utilized immediately somehow imo. They can actually utilize Hugh Jackman as well. Even with recasting Wolverine, you can still utilize Jackman because of the Multiverse. And they also have Ruffalo who is an extremely likable Hulk.

No RDJ or Evans and Hemsworth may make an exit (hopefully not), but they still have some power.
Anyone know the deal with Oscar Isaac/Moon Knight- is he signed on longterm, or was that a one-off?

I know the character isn't currently top-tier for recognition, but GOTG showed that's not relevant. Isaac was great and is very likeable, and MK has the right power level to fit into lots of conflicts, without being either overpowered or outclassed.
