He's an amateur, non-sith, raw talent force user who probably built his own light saber based on the idea of what one was. That's why it isnt perfect.

With how secretive JJ is, I doubt he would have that included in the trailers and the toys. Hell, they aren't even making Luke toys until the movie comes out to keep his look under wraps.

I'm sure this has been discussed. But if he isnt a Sith. Why not the child of 2 Inquisitors? They never finished Sith training, so they wouldn't have been Siths. When the Emperor was killed they could have ventured out to find someone to teach them and find Snoke. Kylo Ren would need to be the son of 2 original Inquisitors. Because Adam Driver is too young to have been an inquisitor by the timeline.
All the comments I've seen about sKYwalker and soLO are amusing though.

This thread just reminded me that for some odd reason, I had a dream about this movie either last night or recently.
The movie I dreamed they made was terrible. It had to be a giant troll job of Star Wars fans in my made up world.

Well I don't. People who cast movies, not based on thinking someone is right for a part, but because "we need some minorities in this picture, and some female characters to draw in the Hunger games fans" are much more bigoted than I will ever be.

I have to say that I'm very excited that the antagonists aren't the Sith in this film. Really, I'm hoping that "The Force Awakens" refers to Star Wars version of Harmonic Convergence. Harmonic Convergence means that in a universe where magic is already established, the magic in the universe gets far more powerful and grants many (for better lack of term) Muggles that magic that previously didn't happen. I think this is the case and the plot of movie in "There has been an awakening".
I'd say our main characters have been made force conscious at the start of the film and are being hunted down for it. On the other hand, we have our villains. Maybe Andy Serkis' character is already force conscious before the film begins, but I'd find it bad arse if Kylo Ren was a non-force conscious disciple of his, and without the Force, he could stand up to even the Jedi and kill anyone. Now he's been awoken by the Force, and becomes a gigantic threat and even more powerful than his master. I'm thinking the Force will seek to balance itself back out, and Luke hasn't been enough to do it yet on his own, so the Force will do it for him.
