The movie is one of the great bastardizations of a book.

The movie and the book are two entirely different things. I love them both for completely different reasons.

It's really like comparing apples to oranges.

Probably a better way of saying what I was thinking. Haha!

I liked The Godfather novel just as much, if not more, than the movie.

Jaws is the runaway answer here. The book was dogshit and read like the penthouse forum.

I didn't think that much of The Mist when I read it but I love the movie.

Apocalypse Now, although not by much, since the book is also great.

I'll be honest, I liked the movie IT better than the book, even though I'm a big Kkng fan. The book is just too bloated and the movie kept the good stuff and trimmed the fat. It also trimmed the scene that makes you feel uncomfortable, which was a very good call.

Forrest Gump and Jaws for sure.

Forrest Gump was a mediocre book at best.
