Reign Over Me

Adam Sandler plays a surprisingly dramatic role where he is a shell of a human after he loses his whole family on 9/11.

And Forrest Gump, always, always.

I saw everyone mentioning animal movies. I avoid them like the plague cause I know they'll put some poor animal down or in a situation that is intended to bring water works- so just no to that

Had to think the last movie I saw with a animal was "Gus"- anyone remember that? A mule football kicker, was actually hilarious as a 10 year old

Haven't seen. Read the plot and yeah, I would cry like a bitch.

Now that I have kids, that kid shite in movies gets to me more than ever before.

I don't tear up after I've seen it the first time, but the ones off hand that I can remember are the family stone, 50/50 and beginners. Cancer related movies hit home.

Oh yeah, and the impossible. If you can get through that without a tear, you are one hard motherfricker.

Homeward Bound. I can think of that scene and get a little misty.

Most of the movies mentioned are paint-by-numbers sad. Cry is a strong word, but these have gotten me misty eyed:

Leaving Las Vegas
Solaris (Tarkovsky)
The Wrestler
Seven Samurai
Cries and Whispers
Wild Strawberries
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
La Strada
Au Hasard Balthazar
Spirit of the Beehive

Such a great, great movie.

Matthew Broderick blew me away. I don't think I'd seen him play a dramatic role before that. The scene at the end just... Gets me.
