A recent one is Air.

A movie about making a shoe should not have been that entertaining.

Who would’ve thought the legal drawn out battle over the creation of Facebook would be a top 3 movie from the 2010’s

One of the best science fiction/fantasy films of the 2010s, for sure.

So the thread has just devolved into naming random movies.

For me, Sideways was a simple relatable story that turned out way more entertaining than expected.

We can either relate to Miles or Jack or know a friend like one or the other. And the setting of wine country makes it extremely rewatchable.

I'll defend my opinion

Point Break - terrible actor known as Ted from Bill and Ted given lead and somehow comes up with a great action movie about surfers, bank robbers, and the FBI.

Roadhouse - undersized guy from Dirty Dancing has a breakout starring role in an action movie. A B movie about tits, bar fights, and the Jeff Healey Band that is one of the most rewatchable movies ever.

They Live - shoestring budget science fiction with a pretty bad actor wrestler as lead. Actor never does anything remotely as good ever again. Movie can easily be read as prescient social commentary on the misbehavior and evil of media and elites in society.

Reanimator- another amazing B movie gem. Modern day remake of Frankenstein with more soul and more graphic material.

Evil Dead - marginal special effects on a nothing budget with unknown actor and director that turned out to be Campbell and Rami making a horror masterpiece.

Highlander - cheesy fantasy action romance that somehow hits every trope perfectly and instead of sucking turns out amazing.

Underworld - well manufactured girl power fantasy that stops short of being a B movie. Totally rewatchable. Your gf and your kids will like it. Completely lacking in deeper meaning but totally worth wasting your time watching

Noted your love for GPB. One of my favorites also.
