One on One (1977).

Man, I had it bad for Annette O'Toole.

Love this one. One of my absolute favorites. Combines several of my favorite topics--Baseball, baseball history, history, organized crime--and the cast is awesome. Plus I'm just a sucker for stuff set in this time period. (turn of the century thru depression era)

I don't think Any Given Sunday gets the recognition it deserves. It's really good.

Angels in the Outfield for personal nostalgia. Don't know why but I just love it. I'll stop to watch it whenever it's on.

Cinderella Man is a great movie. Critics like it but I don't think it typically gets the love it deserves in great sports movie discussions. And, like I said above, I'm a sucker for stuff from around this time period.

The Great White Hype is a really underrated movie IMO. It's not a great movie per se but it's unique and really entertaining.

Most underrated hockey is probably Goon but the best under the radar hockey movie no one really talks about it Miracle.

For football, I really enjoy the Replacements.

Some very good ones already named. I contend that Diggstown should be added to the list.

The Sandlot.

No matter how high it is rated, it is never high enough. The 4th of July scene is a patriotic masterpiece.

My DVD is scratched, I wore that movie out. I love montages, like when they go gather up all the players and it shows them in their natural habitats.

Not underrated, but Field of dreams. My dad loved this movie because his dad passed away at 53. I have yet to watch it since my dad passed away at 50 a few months ago. It's gonna be a tough one to watch. But I will eventually.

Also, not underrated, but I always thought The Natural was my favorite sports movie. I haven't seen it in a while so not sure if it's held up as I've seen some great sports flicks since then.

Yes, Stallone, Michael Caine, Pele, Max Von Sydow... A great movie, not just a great sports movie

The one where Tom Cruise teaches us that pass interference is cool as long as it was a "good hit."

For Love of the Game

I get to watch some decent baseball and my wife gets a chick flick with Kevin Costner. And then she be in the mood. Win-win.

All the Right Moves. I was going to add that one to the list. Love the locker room scene when the guy who fumbled is crying and Cruise and "Coach" get into it.

Lots of good movies listed in this thread.
