The navy battling aliens did look cool in previews. But I like that kind of stuff.

I was 10 when the The Phantom Menace came out. I love that movie and never understood the hate for it.

Have you ever read the book? It's fantastic. The only thing that it has in common with the movie is the title and Malcolm being the main character. The book ends when they escape the island. The entire line with Ingen trying to capture dinosaurs and the king Kong ripoff at the end of the movie never happened. Hell, Biosyn was the antagonists in the book, Ingen was bankrupt after the events of the first book.

Boondock Saints II - loved the first one even though it was campy. They just took everything from the 1st one and made it incredibly douchy.

The Spirit - Expected it to be as good as Sin City - sorely disappointed. The absolute worst dialogue I've ever experienced.

The Dictator - not funny at all unlike Borat and Bruno.

Godfather II is my vote. It is a movie with some great parts but as a whole it sold its creative soul in response to the criticism the first Godfather received - and in so doing was incredibly disappointing.

Dark Knight Rises was the most dissapointing for me
Yeah I was pretty let down with it as well although it was still a very entertaining movie. Parts of it were just awful though. Not half as good as its predecessor.

Caddyshack 2. Dreamcatchers (loved the S.King book.) Indiana Jones 4. These are some... but... the one move I was most pissed off in... X-Men 3. WTF was that? Damn. Didnt even let me see cyclops die.

I respect the guy's opinion, but I love that movie. I didn't like 2 or 3 very much though.

If you think that is a troll you aren't familiar with the criticism the first Godfather received.

I agree to some extent about Godfather II. Read Ebert's thoughts on it.

honorable mention...every other Michael Crichton adaptation except maybe Jurassic Park

Disclosure wasn't awful, and I liked The Andromeda Strain as a youngster (wouldn't pass muster today, of course). But you're mainly right: Hollywood can't do Crichton for some reason ..

Ted. Stupidest bunch of crap I'v ever watched, walked out just past the halfway point. And that's saying a lot because I dang near like any type of movie. A real trash fest. I could see where college guys may get a kick out of some of the lunacy though.
