Well folks I've waited a long time for this movie, and I'm kind of "Prometheus" type disappointed

No way 99% on rotten tomatoes. It's a good watch but leaves a lot to be desired. 3 stars

Very good action and eccentric. As I thought the screenplay left a little to be desired. Lead characters were good, and the new Max made an easy transition.

I'd recommend seeing it but don't expect a whole lot

That's disappointing...I was looking forward to it.

I'm glad someone is bringing me back down to earth on this movie. The RT rating was giving me unrealistic expectations.

My expectations are now tempered a little.

I thought it was really, best action movie I've seen in forever. The entire movie was balls to the wall intense. Only problem I had was there was a part where it seemed to have a feminist element to it. But I'm probably nitpicking

Movie was amazing. If you are expecting anything other than action on top of action i dont know what to tell you. Should have seen it coming. In fact, there was more of a "story" than i anticipated going in, which still isnt much.

I mean, it's a Mad Max movie. What kind of story are people looking for?

I usually don't like action movies, so maybe I should fully prepare for disappointment. I'm a dialogue guy in general.

You probably wouldn't like any of the Mad Max movies.

I do like some action. Generally if it is so ridiculous and unpredictable that I start laughing, I'm a fan.

--------------

Action was great. But for a movie to be great it has to have better character development. Which this movie lacked somewhat.
The 99 should be around 65 to 75 if we are using that as a barometer

None of the previous movies were all action, and they had great character development. They wouldn't have been a success if they were just Michael Bay movies.

And this was much more than just a Michael Bay film. What more character development would you want? It's a nice generic phrase, but lets talk specifics here.
