potentially. Chet had higher highs with his performance, but let's also not forget he was kind of a dick too, especially towards henry.

Lou never really acted like a jerk, even when he was benched by a 12 year old.

1) it's little league, I doubt they have the same restrictions as the NCAA
2) his gift was gone, so by that point he was just a regular kid like anyone else. He wasn't teh same player as when he was with the cubs.

Try explaining that to the NCAA clearing house. They wouldn't let the snowboarder from Colorado compete in football.

None of those are even close to RotY greatness.

And the cast:

Gary Busy
Dan Hedaya
Albert Hall
Eddie Braken
Thomas Ian Nicholas

And the GOAT:
Daniel Stern

Rookie of the year sucks. It doesn't even get nostalgia points

Little big league is decent, though.

I think it's funny the only people saying "and it's not even close" all say ROTY, yet the thread seems pretty split on the original question.

Your preferred movie says a lot about you as an individual. Would you prefer to be the star player or own the team?

I was the perfect age for these two movies. I think I was even the same age as the kid when the movies came out. LBL always appealed to me more. I was obsessed with the idea of owning a major company like an MLB team.

same here, I ran a hole through my grandparents' wallet because I saw both of those movies in theaters probably 20 times combined between them both.

I too saw them both in theaters, though I never saw a movie in the theater more than once as a kid.

FWIW, he threw out a first pitch at Wrigley last season.

Sandlot is the ultimate. This thread, LBL vs RotY, is clearly a battle for second place.

Got to go RotY. Classic lines and fantastic cast. LBL is a close third. I'd almost say Roty is 2a and LBL 2b.
