AirPlay is clutch, but they need to get some more apps.

It's the only thing we use for watching TV in our living room. We use it for Netflix, PS Vue, WatchESPN, HBO Now, and several kids apps like Disney Jr and PBS kids. I use it for youtube, and for the radio when I want music playing. I enjoy that I can use siri to search with it, and can use my phone as a keyboard with it.

Do you have the latest version of Apple TV? There are a lot of Apps on there now.

No. I have one of the earlier ones. The one I have has a terrible selection of apps. The roku blows it out of the water.

If it is the 2, it's been moved to obsolence and not updated anymore. 3 is still being updated occasionally, but probably won't be for long.
4 has an app store and can play games and shite.

I primarily use it for renting/buying movies, Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO Go, Airplay, and WWE Network (I know...)

I agree, I much prefer the firetv box versus the appletv. The only reason I still have the appletv is because directv now works a million times better on appletv versus firetv.

Late response - but if you're looking for games download Jackbox Party Pack 3. It's great to play when you have friends over.
