I'm not talking about the horrible poster here, IAmBatman, but the actual super hero himself.

He doesn't even have superpowers so I'm not sure why he's even classified as a super hero... all he has are tools/weapons someone else made for him.

Superman is as bland as it gets, but at least he's a real super hero.

If that's the case so is Ironman.

True, but he engineers his own suits that actually do things.

Batman was fine until they "powered him up" to the point he was no longer a character, but a plot device.

To say he could beat anyone "because dossier" is the stupidest power ever.

Iron Man made his suit, Spider-man made his webbing, Wolverine had surgery, why does it matter? If they fight crime in a suit and have a comic book, they're a super hero. Batman also happens to have the best story in comics, so that helps too.

To which Batman story are you referring? The one that blatantly ripped off the Iron First?

Part of his "powers" is that he's pretty smart and knowledgeable about a wide range of things. Yeah by definition he's not a superhero but then again Ironman, Green Arrow, Hawkeye, and numerous others really aren't either.

But could he have done this if his father weren't Howard Stark?

Bruce Wayne willingly trained himself for fricking years under Ra's Ll Ghul's tutelage to make himself the hero he was. Tony Used his Dad's resources and tech to build his suit

Well, since he's arguably the most popular superhero in the world, I'm going to say 'no'

The one where his parents were murdered and he trained himself to be a superhero? I'm pretty sure that's a Batman original

Also the Joker has many incredible backstories that make him one of the greatest villains ever.

Iron Man is closer to a superhero than Batman. He, at least, augments his strength, speed, knowledge (via tech), ups his invulnerability, and can fly.

Batman just rides around going where Alfred tells him doing karate

How is that the BEST comic backstory? That's the backstory, in concept, of every single Disney movie/princess.

Is Batman your favorite Disney princess?

The appeal of Batman has always been that its a "real" guy and he can be set in the real world. That's what made the Nolan movies so great.

There's more of a degree to realism to Batman then other "superheroes", which is why i think a lot of casual fans of movies think Batman is the best. Add in the fact that Batman's movies are seen to the best superhero movies by many.

I agree. But that is no longer the Batman of the comics. They've gone full retard (and unfortunately, the DCU followed suit)

I enjoy the regular Batman vs regular villain stories. Juiced up Batman vs actual superheroes like Superman is silly.
