Been wanting to see this for a few weeks now. How did you watch it?

I saw it at the Robinson Film Center in Shreveport a little while ago. It is a fantastic movie. Really funny.

An island of thought and culture in a sea of stupid, proud to be a charter sponsor.
That movie looks good by the way

Saw it when it came to our local theater and loved it!

RFC is one of the coolest things in Shreveport. I live in Charlotte now, and there's nothing here like it despite being a city of around a million people.

I still have not seen it, but I will very soon. I've heard it's one of the best family movies in years.
Taika Waititi is the director. He did 'What We Do in the Shadows' which was a great movie. He'll be directing the new Thor movie coming out. He should be a household name soon.

I watched it last night. Never heard of it before viewing, just a random thing.
I was pleasantly surprised. It was kind of silly at times but the characters were pretty good. Fun movie.

Yeah, I like old dude from Peaky Blinders & Jurassic Park. He's a really good actor.

Goddammit, I was hoping this bump would generate discussion because this is a great movie.
For any parents who watched it with their kids, did y'all have any trouble with the subject matter?
For us, the only thing that came up was the "molester" part, but I just told the little guy that was a word for evil people who hurt kids. It made sense in the context of the story and he was able to enjoy it for what it was.
Thoughts?

I saw it in the theater when it came out. The GF and I both loved it. Just a good movie. I like Rhys Darby and he was pretty good in his role. Taika Waititi's cameo as the priest was hilarious.

Is that the agent from flight of the Conchords? Cause he was hilarious, bush man I love that New Zealand humor, and it was good to share it with the kid and wife, even though they're stupid and didn't laugh at the hilarious parts.

So we're really not going to talk about how awesome this movie is? Fifteen pages about Ben Affleck dropping out of Batman and no discussion about a genuinely awesome movie?
frick this place.

I want to go camping with Ricky Baker and unc.
This film genuinely made me smile. It was a great story that didn't need heavy handed character exposition and plot twists to move it along.
Simple, quirky and excellent.
