They're diving into the mind of Hannibal. Dr. Of psychology can't understand his mind. How the hell are we supposed to. Another thing that annoys me is I can barely hear what they are saying. I have to have closed captioning on to follow the dialogue.
ETA: the moth sculpture was a cool visual though

Is Bedelia insane, in love or does she just possess a professional curiosity?

Going to go with all 3.
For me she's the most compelling character on the show. We know Hannibal and we know Will. But what the hell motivates this woman?

I'm not even sure what I'm watching anymore.

No kidding. Last night was terrible. Worst episode of the series so far

I enjoyed this week's episode. The forearm dish Hannibal cooked looked delicious.
The ice pick to the temple was brutal but the fact the guy was talking and laughing made it even more disturbing. I laughed when Hannibal told Bedelia she technically killed him by pulling the ice pick out
Loved Bedelia's "how did your sister taste" line and her sliding down into the water. Great scene.
The moth display Will made was beautiful.
Hannibal saying he needs to eat Will isn't surprising. I wonder if Hannibal has already decided how he is going to cook Will.

The end of S2 was pretty fricking intense. Major shite happened to all the main characters. Life changing events. For them to just continue that type of path without exploring the changes each character has been through would seem hollow IMO.
It will get cranked up again soon. But I don't think they need to rush it without a little prologue type of setting first. Even gung-ho Jack Crawford has changed into not giving a shite about catching Hannibal.

Also, so is Will now not just thinking like Hannibal, but also acting on it?

Judging by the previews for E4. It seems like a number of people are after hannibal. But will go about finding him in different ways.

Yeah, I love this show but this season so far is almost incomprehensible. Everyone is talking super low or in an accent. So many accents. The characters are talking in riddles and no one is saying anything outright. Nothing is explained. Tons of psychobabble. And every scene seems to descend into "art film".
I wish they would cut the bullshite a bit and play it a LITTLE more straight.

I don't have a problem with it at all. But, I'm also not a huge fan of the "monster of the week" type of shows. Also you have to remember that Red Dragon will be introduced at some point this season.
I'll admit that episode 4 was a bit hard follow and my least favorite of this season. But I've enjoyed episodes 1-3.

I don't love it either, I prefer a story arch. But this season is just a mess so far, IMO.

Bro... he hung that dude up like a christmas ornament. If that isnt acting like Hannibal idk what is. Especially because Hannibal shouldnt see it since the hot asian said he wouldnt go back to the ole family stompin grounds. So Will just created a ripper type of scene just for shits and giggles.

oh I know. I've been trying to search reddit for an explanation on that. I can't seem to find anything just yet.

S3E4: Apertivo
After surviving a disfiguring gunshot, Dr. Fredrick Chilton (guest star Raúl Esparza) is now focused on rallying support to capture Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen), using Will (Hugh Dancy) as bait. Jack (Laurence Fishburne) is distracted by Bella's (guest star Gina Torres) failing health, but he implores Will to abandon the risky idea of finding Hannibal. Meanwhile, Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) entertains a different approach, potentially partnering with Mason Verger (guest star Joe Anderson) to utilize his vast resources.

Scenes for the next episode look intense

Sad how little viewership this show gets and how few responses these threads get. The art film shite has probably hurt it a bit these first few eps but there has been some good stuff too. Next week looks to be the action some have been needing. I really hope someone picks the show up, Fuller said he has a great season 4 planned in his mind already.

I enjoyed this past episode infinitely more.
