Thinking of renting in a few minutes. Is it worth watching?

Watched it last night. Entertaining, great special effects, awesome views of earth. Couple of holy shite scenes. It's worth the $5.99.

It's pretty but don't expect much from the story.

Just watched it tonight.

Stunning visuals, plenty of on the edge of your seat moments, "ok" story.

Easily the best space movie in terms of visuals that I've ever seen.

The most amazing experience I've ever had in a theater. I went back and caught it again 6 weeks ago during the 2nd release. I actually enjoyed the story line, and though I'm no Bullock fan, I thought she gave a remarkable performance and I hope she wins tomorrow night.

I have seen about half of the Best Picture nominees and so far this is the best. I am about to start Dallas Buyers Club in a minute.

all the haters of this movie coming out

It is an amazing movie, and starting to see all the work that went into this movie makes me respect it even more.

The story is fine BTW ok it's difficult to have a story when you are just trying to survive in space, but the amount of character development in the movie is outstanding.

It's unlike anything I've ever seen. The attention to detail, long unbroken shots, cool score in lieu of sound and gas explosions that don't occur in space, and Bullock in her space undies.

The only drawback (for me) was Clooney basically playing Danny Ocean in a space suit. I might've liked it more without his sparkling starpower. Although I did love his last scene, it seemed to work in that format.

The most over-rated movie in the history of cinema.

I saw it recently and thought it was meh. Nothing that I will remember.

I was looking forward to it, too.

This is what I liked most about it.

the amount of work that went into those unbroken shots was amazing.

He probably could have done a normal fast cut action movie in a few months but because he wanted to do long shots it took him a few years.

edit: nm it's 12 min

but there are a lot of long tracking shots all throughout this movie.

(Spoilers for those who haven't seen it.)

Gravity - Honest Trailer

ETA: I saw it in IMAX and thought it was awesome but nothing I have much desire to see again. It's more of an experience film than anything, like something you'd see at Disney World, but much longer.

I have heard American Hustle and 12 years a slave the only two movies that could ruin Gravity's shot

another thing if Gravity wins nothing tonight I will be pissed. Sure I haven't seen many of the other movies, but I would be shocked if someone has better cinematography and editing than gravity.
