pandering to what they think an audience wants is what Hollywood does. I think in this case they guessed horribly wrong.

I see the movie industry much like the fashion scene only often with a political/social agenda. They often aren't so much trying to guess what people will like as much as trying to dictate what the audience should like.

The trailers were bad. But what really tipped me off were the 2-4 commercials on tv like the insurance one (the one with flo). I feel as if they're trying to preemptively pad their losses because they know it will tank.

The reviews are going to be best part of this movie.

If the movie ends with the Guostbusters logo being shot in the dick and has Leslie Jones, how is this possible?

Because SJW.

Never underestimate when a narrative trumps entertainment.

Most reviewers had their minds made up before they saw movie.

But Free State of Jones didn't fare so well and we were told Social Justice Warriors and critics were out to crown it an Oscar contender.

You can't have it both ways now.

There was no outcry about the production of Free State of Jones. The outcry results in the drawing of battle lines.

up to a 75% now

actually none of this surprises me. with all the white guilt in the nation and hollywood towards minorities and women, i knew they wouldnt pan this shite.

i actually just read two reviews where they said leslie jones stole the movie. she might be the worst actress going right now.

In a nutshell:

Positive Reviews: SJW's, it's actually a bad movie.

Negative Reviews: Or course. It's a bad movie.

if you dont think most of hollywood is politics i have some land to sell you.

i listen to a lot of podcasts from critics from vanity fair and other publications and they are all raging libs and feminists. you think for a second they are going to rip this movie with all the backlash recently?

Sorry, activists in any open forum can stuff a ballot box. I still eagerly look forward to this movie coming out this week and it's failure at the box office.

I thought Sony was moving the embargo to opening day. I guess they changed their mind? As I said before, critics love them some Feig and I was surprised to hear that they were moving the embargo. 99% of the time that shows that the studio is nervous about critics.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the movie ended up in the 60s. I have never agreed with critics when it comes to Feig, so I probably won't on this one. I guess we'll see.
