Wait what? Killing his daughter makes him no longer have a claim to the throne?
Tyrion said something to Dany in last week's episode about how a good leader doesn't kill those who are devoted to him/her. Killing doesn't inspire leadership. Him murdering his only child doesn't make him look strong. It was the act of a man who is so desperate that he will do anything to win. That doesn't sound like the makings of a good king to me.

I agree with all of those points, but if someone liked Stannis because he had a legit claim to the throne, killing his daughter doesn't change that fact.

Ser Davos is one helluva whittler for a man missing half his fingers on one hand.

Her dragons aren't fully grown yet, and the spears didn't seem to do much anyway.
This. Seemed more of an annoyance rather than any real threat. Dany pulled the one spear out pretty easy so obviously it wasn't able to penetrate too deep.

He should've executed those three sand snakes right in front of her as soon as she "reswore" allegiance.
Nope. Remember the scene where he basically told Ellaria Sand she will always have a place there because his brother loved her and she is the mother of his nieces? She's the mother of at least two of the "sand snakes" and they are the nieces he was referring, i.e., he tolerates her because she is the mother of some of his nieces.

being the brother of the usurper is not legit. viserys had the legit claim and now dany.
Do women have claims to the throne? Or can they? I heard from somebody that Robert and the Baratheons have a claim to the throne due to their relation to the Targaryens (kings blood). So in my mind, Gendry has the best claim. He is Robert's oldest living son. Ned saw it and so did chickenshit Stannis, which was why he was hellbent on killing him. I'm hoping Davos finds him, Gendry marries Arya, raises an army (brothers without banners) and he takes the throne..

If that does end up being this show's annual shocking death of a main character it would be the shittiest one by a lot because they have been telegraphing the shite out of this move for literally half the damn season.
This is why I think it's someone else. Not saying little Ollie doesn't try something and may kill someone in the process but I don't think it will be Jon.

i'm still pretty upset that ramsay's epic mission was glossed over and they didn't even show his brilliant infiltration. possibly the most important mission in westeros history and we don't even get to see it
I would have liked to have seen a bit of it to but i think not showing it helps prove the point, no one saw the attack before the attackers were long gone and the place was going up in flames. Bad arse move by the Bolton kid.

I think the Red Witch saw the attack coming in the flames right before it happened and was too late. I haven't rewatched the episode yet, but iirc she was looking into the flames and then she runs outside her tent right as the attack starts.

I'll disagree, just too pale for my taste, but to each their own. I've enjoyed all the boobs shown so far.

I know that many posters here are disappointed in their favorite Stannis. It's not too late to join the Ramsay Bolton bandwagon.
Now that people hate Stannis, that is bad news for Team Ramsey. Stannis is going to take down your boy thanks to whatever voodoo the Red Witch is cooking up.

Ramsay killed a chick because he got her pregnant and he thought that was boring....
He skinned an elderly woman alive because she gave Sansa a candle...
