Tyrion handled that "trial" like a fricking boss.

Tyrions scene, I've watched it at least 5 times and it's been awesome every time. Dude needs to win an award.

Yeah I watched it back 3 times. It's one of the best scenes I've seen in quite a long time.

"The Lanister Deal" btw Jamie and Tywin.

That deal is irrelevant now.

Yeah that deal was off as soon as he started mouthing off. I'd rather death over the wall anyway. It's basically the same thing except you don't have to fight white walkers in death

If be interesting if he picks Jamie to fight for him.

Why not?

My roommate brought up a good point. If he does pick Jamie, and Jamie loses, then Tywin loses both his sons right? Doesn't a loss mean Tyrion (sp?) dies as well? Kind of like a frick you to the dad.

Then again, I don't want either of them to die so I'd rather not see that happen

Before losing his hand Jamie would have been the obvious choice but Tyrion isn't going to put his life in the hands of his brother who he knows (by Jamie's own admission) is hardly a capable fighter at all anymore.

Plus we know Oberyn and the Mountain fight and this is really the only logical conclusion as to how.

Yes if Tyrion's champion were to lose the battle Tyrion would die.

Because he is going to say he wants to fight the Mountain, then the Dornish dude is going to volunteer to be Tyrion's champion.

I think he will still try to pick Jaime, and Tywin will forbid it.

Yeah, maybe Tyrion figures he's fricked even if his champion were to win and will go for Jamie so as to try and frick over Tywin.

The Oberyn/Mountain scenario sounds pretty damn plausible too, though.

This. It isn't spoilers, it's just common sense.

Yep, as soon as Tyrion asked for trial by combat I told my wife "so this is how we get Oberyn vs. The Mountain".

How are we still discussing this? Damn.

ETA: Possibly dumb question. But is that Wildling warg still alive in that eagle?
