Towers of Midnight to be released on November 2, 2010.

Book 12 was actually FULL of good stuff. Looking forward to this.

Prologue comes out this coming week actually.

And one chapter, a Mat chapter, has already been released. Still doesn't sound like Jordan's Mat to me though...

I gave up on the series about the middle of book 5. It's a shame because I liked the first couple of books a lot. The series got pretty tedious though and it's hard to imagine slogging through another 8 books of Nynaeve tugging on her braid when she gets angry and all the rest of the increasingly mediocre writing. There are too many other good books out there. Admittedly I'm less interested in fantasy as time goes on though I just got through Song of Ice and Fire and thought what has been written is quite good.

I just started reading this series last month. Took me forever to get through the first few chapters of book 1, about to start The Great Hunt in the next day or two.

Pretty entertaining so far.

I agree with so many about it becoming just tedious after awhile. But, like I said, so much awesome stuff happens in book 12 that it reinvigorated me for this series.

Book 12 even made EGWENE exciting!

I don't read much scifi/fantasy, but I just started A Game of Thrones last night. Only sixty pages, but beginning to get into it. If it's as good as everybody says, then I won't be able to put it down.

+1. Book 12 re-ignited my interest in the series, and Egwene chapters went from annoying and tedious to awesome and exciting.

Bump for the release of Book 13. I finished it over the weekend. Picked up right where Book 12 left off, with plenty of awesomeness. Plotlines that have drug on for 5+ books are finally settled in mostly satisfying ways, and it makes the wait for the next and final book even harder.

You can tell when Jordan realized he had a cash cow because that's when the stories began to draaaaag, he included many second and tertiary characters' stories, and increased the number of enemies from 13 (I think was the original number) to lots more.

When I first started the series years ago, it took be forever to get to the mid-point of the first book because the story was so god-awful BORING. Around the time Thom enters the picture it picked up and took off, book 12 was similar except that it didn't have any drag-assing. I bought book 13 over the weekend and intend on reading it as soon as I finish "Elminster Must Die".

Any one read The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher? Amazing serious. does a great job intertwining mystery and fantasy and really incorporating all mythos into a new way

Another homerun, imo. Not quite as action packed as book 12, but (as has been stated earlier) lots and lots of resolutions.

I'm not goint to know what to do with myself when this series if over.

I'm getting a Kindle from the wife for Christmas. This will be my first series to download.
