Let me put it this way. The undeserved Best Picture winners list is a lot longer than the Best Picture winners who deserved their Oscar. The Academy has rarely gotten it right over the years. Probably the worst screw job was Ordinary People winning Best Picture over Raging Bull and Redford getting the Bet Director Oscar over Scorsese. The Academy might as well have strapped on a ten-inch dildo and reamed Scorsese in the arse because that's how badly he got fricked over.
