I thought long and hard about this and now I am thinking the lead detectives to be husband is my primary suspect. The way he popped up to "scare" her when she got home with the fact that he was scheduled to get leave town the same day/weekend of the murder. He is about to get married so there is your motive. He also said something creepy about the ladies kid when she was saying he may not like moving - he said something like "He will like it/accept it/be okay with it or I WILL MAKE HIM" That comment stood out for me and then it got lost in the show. I will take bets that it is the to be husband of the lead detective.

I know Leoben is capable of doing it (he did spend 3-6 months getting murdered over and over again trying to make Kara love him) but it does seem to be a bit of a reach at this point.

**I should have said it's set in Seattle. But, honestly Vancouver & Seattle could be the same city.

They basically are.

Both are beautiful cities. I wouldn't mind living in either despite the gloomy weather.

Exactly how I feel. I've been to both since I was a young kid. The gloomy weather really doesn't bother me.

I went through Vancouver when I went to Whistler a few years ago. Prettiest city I've ever been to.

we don't know enough yet. Why is the aunt so torn up? why is she even there?
Why is the bff so weird? I would have had her in for a serious talk. She knows more than she's letting on.
It's too obvious for the councilman to be the killer, but one of the assistants is involved somehow.
The mark of a good show is that you are pissed off at the end because you want to see more.
AMC and HBO are doing a way better job than the any other network.

I was going to say the same thing a few post back, but forgot. We really don't have enough information to make a a clear guess at who the killer is. The aunt being intown really doesn't tip me off (maybe she lives in Seattle with them). But, the best friend acts entirely to jumpy and upset imho (I feel like she's hiding alot).

I was thinking more along the lines of the aunt and Rosie's dad having an affair..But I can't tell how that would play into any of this at all. Things just seem strange with her with all the crying and questioning Rosie's mom..

True it is pretty weird whenever she's on screen. Do we know if the aunt is the mom's sister or not?

no clue.

On another note the show had great ratings.

quote:

The premiere was AMC's second-highest original series premiere following The Walking Dead. The premiere drew 2.7 million viewers and a 2 household rating. The two encores of the premiere episode brought the ratings of the premiere up to a total of 4.6 million total viewers and a 3.7 household rating.[10]
