It was an excellent first part. The leads are really great, and the cinematography.

I was not planning on even watching this show until I came here about an hour before it started and figured whatthehell - might as well check it out... Looks like I got my Sunday night show as long as it stays like it started...

Might be on to something... he's got enough presence so far that it's not out of the question.

My take so far...

pros:
- Intriguing story ( I like shows that having running story lines, like Dexter where 1 season = 1 story line
- Pretty good acting
- Great cinematography

cons:
- The main character is distractingly unattractive
- Location (Seattle: raining in most scenes, a little annoying, IMHO)
- Very, very slow developing (keeps it suspenseful, but 2 episodes down, and we really don't know much) many things will pick up...

I think I'm gonna give it one more episode and see if I continue to watch it.

Just got done watching it. Seems promising, a season long mystery arch compared to just stand alone episodes is something I can get into.

The gloomy Seattle atmosphere worked very well to set the tone for the show.

America has a run for ginger-ish red headed female detectives

Hannibal Lecter's Starley - Foster/Moore
X-Files -Scully
Wire - Beadie Russel
Fringe - whatever that chick's name is

Why exactly does the lead have to be really hot? Furthermore, it isn't like they are trying to tell us she is hot when we all know she isn't, aka Deb on Dexter, so I don't really get what the problem is.

Seriously, all she needs is some make-up, a good haircut & some decent clothes, pretty much the same thing you could say about most Seattle women I think.
