Can't believe no one has mentioned:

Explorers (1985) - I think this was the first feature movie for both Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix. Always thought it was pretty good under the radar movie.

Great comedies in the late 80's. Coming to America and Plains, Trains, and Automobiles.

This times a million but most of us had to settle for just SMB3. I remember asking my mom for the power glove to no avail. I think if retailed for like $250 bucks in the late 80's

Flight of the Navigator and The Neverending Story were two of my favorites. I liked all of the movies in OP too, TMNT being my favorite of the group. 36 btw.

Joe vs The Volcano is a my favorite Hanks/Ryan romantic comedy. Great cast and a great soundtrack.

two films I cant remember the names

the first one has a guy in ant costume causing havoc while folks are watching a movie of giant insect that people try to kill with giant bananas?

the other a teen gets attacked by a chicken and turns into a mutant then at the end the newsreporter turns into a mutant

Another one I almost forgot about was Midnight Madness, anyone ever watch that movie? It was about an all-night scavenger hunt and had Michael J. Fox in a limited role.
