I'm 35, and during a drunken discussion last night with some buddies, we were discussing some movies that we remembered from growing up that didn't necessary fall into the IMDb top 250 lol

Curious on yalls thoughts on these bad boys:

Little monsters
Teenage mutant ninja turtles
Garbage pail kids movie
Monster squad
Men at Work
The Wizard

I used to watch Men at Work a lot because it seems to be on all the time. I remember it being funny.

I saw Monster Squad in theaters and then saw it with my kids a few years ago. Mistake. That movie is crap.

I haven't seen TMNT since then. I'm going to keep it that way.

Haven't seen any of the other ones.

BTW I'm 40.

Other than Monster Squad, those are all great movies. I just watched Men At Work a few weeks ago, still hilarious. TMNT is in my top 5 all time comic book movies.

Little monsters-Classic, love it. "Who put piss in my apple juice".
Teenage mutant ninja turtles-Saw it in the theater, love it.
Garbage pail kids movie-never saw it
Monster squad-"Give me the Amulet, you BITCH"
Men at Work- Outside of the golf clap, I don't remember a thing about this movie.
The Wizard - Such a great movie, still fun if you get nostalgic about video games.

I loved it as a kid, have a feeling it wouldn't hold up well though. Though "wolfman has nards" would probably still make me chuckle.

I saw Wizard at the theater and loved it. I'd like to see it again.

Also saw TMNT at theater. Also would see again. Loved it at the time.

Haven't seen the others

I've seen all of those growing up. I am almost your age. Those movies take me back. Garbage Pail Kids especially.

Little Monsters is classic and Howie Mandel was awesome...but this movie is kind of evil and creepy in places.

Ninja Turtles is an 80s kids ultimate dream, I'll still watch it if it comes on and actually has some legitemtly serious/good parts, particularly the Rafael and farm parts.

Garbage Pail Kids I only saw a few times and is probably terrible now if I rematches it...I remember it being kind of vulgar.

Men At Work still holds up and is a classic 80s fun comedy. It's in the same category as Armed & Dangerous and others...classic.

Monster Squad I only saw once when I was a kid...don't remember much except a white dress and Dracula.

The Wizard was so much fun just because of the power glove and Mario 3...The height of the Nintendo era.

Ninja Turtles is my favorite of these, but Men at Work holds up huge.

I would also suggest other 80s/early 90s in this realm such as:

Labyrinth

Princess Bride

Gremlins

Who's Harry Crumb

Howard the Duck

Big

If your childhood didn't include this movie then you missed out.

Garbage Pail Kids is nowhere near anything close to resembling a "great movie."

That movie is straight up fricking garbage (pun like half intended ). It's terrible.

The boy who could fly
Lucas
The witches
Mac and me(the wheelchair scene,lol)
Willow- still holds up
