I have watched a lot of movies and I haven't seen at least half of those. In fact, many of those I have never even heard of.

There are 3 movies on there that I'm pretty sure only Superior Pariah has watched.

I confess Boyhood was on TV a lot for a while but I just have zero interest in reliving awkward childhood moments, or watching someone I don't know go through them. The time and creativity that went into it is responsible for most if not all of the hype, right?

I looked through the list of 100 and it's pretty much what I would have guessed for:

BBC Culture

And I know it's a poll of world wide critics. And the BBC picked the critics.

I just don't get the love for No Country for Old Men. Not sure that I've seen anything else on either list.

I think it's a good list for the most part except for Boyhood being in the top 10. I would replace it with City of God.

Is this worth making a priority? I've never seen it but have always told myself I should. I didn't realize it was this well thought of.

What's so funny? These days I mostly watch fun popcorn flicks because having a young family doesn't leave much time for anything serious. Also, my wife and I have a very narrow overlapping movie preference, and we typically don't watch artsier stuff together.

Besides, not everyone has the same taste in movies.

Yeah, Boyhood is ridiculously overrated. It's not one of the 5 best films released this century. If you shot the same film and then just cast new actors as the boy aged, it would have never even been nominated.

And where the hell is The Lord of the Rings? That seems like a huge oversight.

Yeah put me down on the Boyhood is overrated list too. It was really long, and the only semi-interesting part of the movie was the alcoholic stepfather.

And I've seen 19 of these movies.

How old are the kids? Spirited Away is an excellent animated, family friendly movie.

Eternal Sunshine is really exceptional. You have to get over Carrey being in a non-traditional role for him, but he's solid in the lead. The real treat is the supporting cast - Wilkinson, Ruffalo, Wood and Dunst all deliver A-grade performances. The story is thought-provoking without being cheesy. It also functions as a science fiction story - to a certain degree.

It's not for the Michael Bay/J.J. Abrams/Fast and Furious fans, though. You have to bring your brain to the film.
