Also, sports med experts are saying although it may ease pain and possibly help with "healing". It does in fact hamper your on field performance and could lead to serious injury due to the lack proper reaction times and motor skills.

While it may slow some motor skills I think it improves concentration to an extent.
Why do you thing bball players smoke more than most athletes?
Also, you ever played softball, flag football, or bball in college while stoned? I have. And, although im pretty frickin athletic already, my game was improved due to the increased focus.
