If you are going greatest all white guy team, i think you have to include Barry and maybe Cousy. Plus it seems a shame to leave off Petit. Guy put up monster numbers. I think it would look like..

Maravich
West
Barry
Bird
Petit

Some will argue Bird at PF. But he averaged 10 rpg and was super physical. That team can our shoot pretty much any team ever..

As laughable as it is to put Harden on it instead of, say, MJ, its almost as laughable that so many people are putting AD on it, given the great PFs that have played the game. Let's give it a few years.

I totally agree, which is basically what I said to do.

I stand by my statement. You just have not watched much basketball since since 2003.

Lebron
Jordan
Bird
Duncan
Hakeem

I thought about Lebron at the 4 and Magic at the 1 but I think having those two on the floor together would be redundant.

I'm not sure who I'd put right now, but I'm pretty confident the best team is going to be different than the best PG, SG, SF, PA, and C.

My ultimate 3pt team:

G-Curry
G-Mullin
F-Bird
F-Nowitski
C-Shaq (someone has to clean up the misses)

All-time fastbreak team:

G-Nash
G-Wade
F-Jordan
F-LeBron
C-Hakeem

I find it interesting that Kobe hasn't sniffed a line up, yet people believe he is a Top 10 player.

Another interesting omission is Bill Russell, especially considering he is widely regarded as a top 5 player all time.

I don't think you would be too far off putting Robinson on your fast break team either. David Robinson and Olajuwon could be changed from their teams and still have same results.

Walt Frazier
Pippen
Ron Artest (Pacers Version)
Rodman
Bill Laimbeer

Will we be the flashiest? Nah. Will we win? Dunno.

But blood will be shed and have fun going to the rim against Artest, The Worm, and Laimbeer.

PG - Lebron (point forward)
SG - Jordan
SF - Bird
PF - Duncan (for now, probably AD in a few years)
C - Shaq

Would probably have MJ defend the 1 and Lebron the 2, but imagine the perfect combination of offense and defense here. Nothing this lineup can't do. Fits the modern game with great spacing from Jordan and Bird. Incredible defensive ability at each position. Great driving ability with Bron and MJ. Shaq to slam it home, run P/R and clean up the boards with a little ISO post

PG - Magic Johnson
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - Scottie Pippen
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Hakeem

Would destroy all the overrated media hyped pretenders

magic
jordan
lebron
duncan
shaq

those essentially are the all time best at their positions(shaq is debatable at center, but id take him at his prime over anyone). if i was actually constructing a team that would take the court, id switch duncan for dirk as i would prefer dirk's versatility and perimeter presence.

maybe because he plays the same position as a guy that is the undisputed greatest athlete in the history of team sports.

Bill Russell just isn't as athletic or talented as these other guys making the teams, and when you're making a dream team you go for talent before skill like Russell had (though these other players had great skill too). I think Bill also is only a top 10 all time bc of his rings.

Kobe is a completely different issue. Kobe is the ball hog extraordinaire. To the point where I think he would hurt these teams with Jordan and Lebron and other great players that need the ball too. I think Kobe would be a great 6th man on any of these teams though

If the game were taking place in the 80s-early 90s they'd be good. If it were today half of them would be ejected by the end of the first quarter.
